I have always felt more of a connection to the shepherd than any other narrative or person in the nativity. Maybe it’s the connection of being common or someone that isn’t perfect yet God sent an angel to them so that the word of His birth may be spread. May we be the one to have an open heart to the goodness and gift of the Savior. Then, may we be the one to go and seek Him. And even then, may we be the one to go and tell of Him.
He is our Lord. He is our Savior. That babe that once lied in a manager is our friend, our brother, even Jesus Christ.
